Today marks the beginning of the Dhanurmasa, or Marghazhi in Tamil, synonymous, in the Indian calendar, with the entry of the Sun into Sagittarius. This is the month when the Tiruppavai is read out in the Vaishnava temples, one pasuram a day, till the auspicious day of Bhogi, when Andal/ Goda Devi weds Lord Ranganatha. I have written the Goda and Ranganatha Stutis in both Telugu and English. Needless to add, they should always be recited together. May the blessings of the deities be with you all!
